Control Systems Engineer

Are you an experienced Control Systems Engineer looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the optimisation and maintenance of certain Operational Technology (OT) systems. If you have a passion for industrial control systems and possess the qualifications and experience we're seeking, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience working with Control Systems.

Knowledge of OT Systems:

  • Proficient in programming Industrial Control Systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs such as Rockwell, Siemens, and Emerson.
  • Experience with RTUs like DNP3 and OPC UA.
  • Competence in Control System Networks, including Ethernet and Radio.
  • Understanding of Security assets such as BACID & CCTV.

Asset Management:

  • Develop and execute OT Maintenance Plans.
  • Manage the OT Asset Lifecycle, including Asset Roadmaps and Renewal Plans.
  • Review and analyse risk profiles for OT Assets related to Water, Sewerage, and Drainage.

General Skills:

  • Strong document writing skills to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proven initiative and capability to self-prioritise tasks, handling complex projects.
  • Offer guidance on industry standards and best practices.

Additional Preferences:

  • Prior experience with the Water Industry.
  • Knowledge of Water OT standards.

Responsibilities:

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Review and update OT Standards to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Create Renewal Plans and conduct audits on Future & In-flight projects.
  • Develop and implement OT Maintenance Plans for effective asset management.
  • Collaborate on Future WP6 planning to enhance system performance.
  • Address service requests and provide technical support.
  • Initiate and manage minor works projects.
