Exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager seeking a new opportunity in regional South Australia.

We are currently seeking an Asset Manager for a regional SA council, based 3 hours from Adelaide.

This is a full time permanent role.

Service Delivery:

• Preparation and update of asset management policy, strategy, asset management plans and operational plans
• Develop and maintain 5 year works programs and annual budgets for all asset classes
• Manage updates of asset registers for all capital works projects and end of year capital expenditure reconciliation for financial reporting purposes

Knowledge understanding and experience:

• A minimum of three years’ experience working in infrastructure asset management or civil construction/design environment
• Relevant Management experience and knowledge of and skill in implementing modern management principles
• Experience in Asset Management Systems, GIS, CAD software and Microsoft office applications.
• Experience in the development of civil project design and cost estimates
• Needs excellent time management, organisational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• A Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Asset Management or other relevant qualifications
• Ability to lead and to organise a busy work schedule and work without supervision within specified time frames
• Must have detailed knowledge of the:
• Relevant civil construction codes and standards
• Local Government Act and Regulations
• Council Policies, By-laws and Procedures
• Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act, and Australian Standards
• Must have a thorough knowledge of road constructions (sealed and unsealed), road maintenance, and machinery operation, repair and safety
• Experience using Synergysoft software
• Civil survey & design skills
