About the role:
The Traffic and Transport Engineer is responsible for providing technical support services in the areas of transport planning, modelling and analysis for multi-modal systems ensuring innovative, efficient and sustainable transport outcomes are achieved.
About you:
Naturally, you’ll have a thorough understanding of the requirements of users of all modes of transport, knowledge of contemporary transport planning initiatives and provide forward thinking strategic solutions which actively contribute to achieving Sunshine Coast Council’s Sustainable Transport Strategy.
Additionally you will possess a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil), and demonstrate relevant experience and understanding in urban and regional
planning, multi-modal transport planning, infrastructure network planning and policy development.

Statistical and technical data analysis and modelling using MS Excel, MS Access, GIS (MapInfo, ArcGIS) and select transport software will be an advantage.
