We now have a full time, continuing opportunity for a Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Technology Solutions Directorate. The position is based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus and remuneration is $97,118 - $111,524 per annum plus superannuation.

WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
You will lead the technical delivery for the implementation, management and support of JCU’s server, storage, unified communications, smart campus infrastructure and operating system environments both on-premise and multi-cloud in functions including complex operational systems infrastructure projects. You will also contribute to the systems and storage strategy and planning processes, provide third level support to resolve highly complex technical issues and mentor junior staff.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
You will bring a degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field with extensive relevant experience in IT infrastructure. Your experience will involve a successful track record in the operational management, implementation and servicing of ESXi, Server, Storage Infrastructure, and Cloud Services (AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud) and in infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g. Shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell, Jenkins and Ansible, Terraform). Skills in the effective administration of Linux and Windows platforms will also be essential to ensure your success in this exciting role.
