About the role

With the region experiencing a period of unprecedented growth, we have an exciting opportunity for the right person to make a valued contribution in the role of Manager District Growth.

Based primarily at our Bairnsdale Head Office, this ongoing position is pivotal to supporting the future delivery of essential services to the region, and ensure development initiatives are beneficial to our customers, the community and the corporation.

As part of the Sustainability & Infrastructure team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing land development activities relating to planning, certification, and issuing of statements of compliance,
  • Providing timely and accurate information and advice to customers, developers, councils and teams within East Gippsland Water,
  • Coordinate the review and assessment for gifted assets, including engineering design reviews, auditing, and liaising with contractors and consultants, and
  • Overseeing corporate lease arrangements including performance, renewals and new lease opportunities

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of our region and services, be a registered engineer with knowledge and skills gained through relevant experience in land development, engineering design, or infrastructure planning, and have experience leading and building the capabilities of others.

This position is classified as a Band 5 position under our Enterprise Agreement ($115,400 - $127,300 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation) dependent upon candidate qualification, skills and experience.
