Who we are looking for
Do you get a buzz out of delivering large scale projects? Then join us as our Program Manager - Quality Water for Wannon on a 5 year full-time contract.
The Quality Water for Wannon program is one of our most ambitious projects, with the goal of delivering great tasting water for Portland, Port Fairy and Heywood.
We want our customers in these communities to have access to, and use, better quality tap water. This requires new capital infrastructure, a behaviour change program and community engagement.
This role comes with a generous senior management salary including superannuation.
What you'll be doing
On a day-to-day basis, you'll:
- Lead the delivery of the Quality Water program, ensuring appropriate project management, resourcing, and funding arrangements are in place
- Promote and foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver successful outcomes, including engineering consultant/s and other relevant contractors/consultants like behaviour change, evaluation, and community engagement specialists.
- Oversee the delivery of capital works from the functional design stage to the commissioning and handover
- Oversee the design and implementation of the program community engagement plan
- Oversee the development and implementation of the community behaviour change plan
- Oversee the design of the research and evaluation framework for the program
- Lead and motivate the program team.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Project Management, Contract Management, or equivalent
- Extensive experience in project management. Specific experience in project management of infrastructure works and servicing; including behaviour change programs, evaluation, or community engagement is highly desirable
- Strong management skills to achieve multiple strategic and policy objectives and organisational goals, considering constraints and opportunities
- Experience leading a team and coaching individuals to deliver high levels of customer service and effective operational outcomes
- Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills with the focus and desire to build effective working relationships, and to find suitable outcomes to align with operational requirements of the business
- Experience in the water and sewerage industry, behaviour change or related fields, and community and stakeholder engagement, would be highly regarded.
