Worley Parsons has been ranked number one in the Top 200 International Design Firms list, published annually by Engineering News Record Magazine, a publication of McGraw Hill Construction.

 

Companies are ranked according to revenue for design services performed on projects outside the firm’s home country in 2010.

 

Worley Parsons, based in North Sydney, has 137 offices in 41 countries.  Last year  (2009-2010) the company reported a net profit after tax of $291.1, down 25.5% on the previous year.

 

During the year it had been awarded major power contracts in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Vietnam, the US, Jordan and Brazil. Infrastructure and environment contracts included the Oakajee Port and Rail project in Western Australia; port developments in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, mining infrastructure in Mongolia; and water management contracts in Australia and Canada.

 

Minerals and metals sector contracts were awarded in Brazil, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, China and Columbia,  and international hydrocarbons projects were secured in Canada, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.
