Theiss has been announced as the main contractor to the $475 million TrackStar Alliance Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor Stage 2 Richlands to Springfield Project.

The public transport infrastructure project will see Theiss conduct contracts valued at an estimated $285 million.

Managing Director Bruce Munro said Thiess is delighted to be partnering with Queensland Rail, Aurecon and AECOM on the project.

“Thiess is honoured to be a part of delivering sustainable transport options to this growing region,” Mr Munro said.

Thiess will play an integral role in the delivery of civil works including the construction of two new stations, Springfield and Springfield Central.

Another feature of the project is a 900 metre long, 15 metre high viaduct which will span the Logan Motorway Interchange at Carole Park.

Queensland Rail, which is both the client and a partner within the Alliance, will deliver the track and signalling systems on this 9.5 kilometre section.
