The Company:

True North Copper Limited (ASX:TNC) is a copper and critical minerals mining company. The company’s two major open pit projects are the Cloncurry Copper Project, Wallace North (Cloncurry) and the Mt Oxide Project (117km East of Mt Isa).

The company is fully funded and has just recommenced mining operations at Cloncurry where existing infrastructure already exists. With strong prices for copper, a low strip ratio and 4.6-year life of mine the company will be able to generate strong cashflow enabling them to further develop longer mine life growth projects in the region.

The Role: 

True North Copper is seeking a General Manager / SSE to join the business on a full-time basis, based principally at the Great Australia Mine (GAM), Cloncurry. With approximately 70 personnel on site, an owner / operator model and a supportive and experienced executive team the scene is therefore set for the incoming candidate to be very successful.

The General Manager / SSE will be responsible for all site operations and will lead operational safety development, compliance & standards + hold statutory responsibility. 

Attributes we are seeking:

• Degree qualified Mining Engineer or closely related qualification
• Previous experience developing and operating small - mid level mines
• A strong leader with good ethics and values
• Previous experience at General Manager level OR we are open to considering a candidate who is ready to step up provided they have extensive operational management experience.
• Owners team experience ideally in a metals / hard rock mining environment
• SSE ticket or able to obtain.
• Exposure / experience with processing plants would certainly be advantageous (SX / Heap Leach plant on site)
