The Role
The ASD is a foreign intelligence agency. ASD collects and analyses foreign signals intelligence and provides advice and assistance on information and communications security. Unconventional Access Solutions (UAS) enable and support the conduct of intelligence, security and military operations through development and deployment of unique electronic and mechanically engineered solutions. The Electronics Engineers fill various critical roles in the design, preparation for manufacture and evaluation of electronics schematics, and PCB design; Application design and programming for embedded microcontrollers with real-time constraints; and communications protocol and modulation development for communications systems. Ideally successful applicant(s) will be a qualified electronic, mechatronic or software engineer from an approved institution; related certifications also considered.

As a member of a small team, the successful applicant will be involved in the design, testing and integration of electronic systems and sub systems to support ASD’s mission. This is achieved by team members contributing to the following:
