What you need to know...

• permanent full time - 70 hours per fortnight
• salary - $84,062 - $100,246 per annum, plus Civil Liability Allowance, plus superannuation
• a 9 day fortnight
• location - Grafton
• the opportunity to accrue time in lieu
• the opportunity to 'purchase' leave

About the role

As the Senior Design Engineer you will:

• Complete designs for Council construction projects (e.g. roads, drainage, footpaths, boating facilities)
• Manage a staff of surveyors and designers to meet the project development needs of Council
• Provide technical advice to Council staff regarding design matters and standards
• Represent Council on committees and at meetings

The successful applicant will:

• Have a ‘can do’ attitude
• Be able to think innovately to provide design solutions
• Have good communication & negotiation skills
• Work as part of a team environment

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
