As our Transmission Line team embarks on a path of further growth and expansion to meet industry demands, this is an exciting time to become part of Consolidated Power Projects (CPP). As a Senior Transmission Line Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the structural design aspects of critical infrastructure projects across Australia.
Your Responsibilities:
As an experienced Senior Engineer – Transmission Lines, your responsibilities will include analysing and optimising transmission line designs to meet project demands while adhering to regulatory standards. You’ll provide technical expertise related to overhead lines spanning from 33 kV to 500 kV. Leveraging your knowledge of the PLS-CADD software suite, you’ll contribute to feasibility studies, concept design, detailed engineering, and post-construction reviews.
You’ll plan power transmission routes, ensuring alignment with environmental regulations and protection of sensitive land. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll drive efficient project milestones while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Your expert communication skills will be essential. You’ll convey design concepts, progress updates, and recommendations to clients, whilst fostering positive relationships with our operational team throughout the project lifecycle.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Familiarity with Australian standards relevant to overhead transmission line design.
- Proficient in using the PLS-CADD software suite for transmission line design.
- Knowledge of the entire lifecycle of transmission lines, from planning through construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Mechanical or Civil Structural qualification (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as an engineer in the field of Transmission Lines.
- Chartered or Professional Engineer status is desirable.
