We now have an exciting full time and continuing opportunity for a Laboratory and Technical Support Advisor, Engineering to join our world-leading University based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus. Remuneration at $77,237 - $83,656 p.a. +17% employer superannuation contributions.

About the Position

This exciting and rewarding position involves providing technical support for laboratory classes, field trips and postgraduate research projects for Engineering undergraduate students within the Division of Tropical Environments and Societies. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring WHS compliance is met by providing instructional advice on the safe use of electrical equipment and the safe operation of practical classes.

What you will bring to the role

To ensure success in this position, you will be a qualified, current Electrician or Instrument Fitter who has an interest in electronics, testing, mechatronics and automation.Experience with PCB design, programing and CAD skills would be desirable. It is a requirement of this position that the incumbent holds a current First Aid Certificate, current 'C' Class license and a Working with Children Blue Card.
