The Role

Working closely with the EAM team you will be responsible for the management and/or coordination of key tasks and activities for the development of data and documentation in support of the final solution, testing, acceptance and implementation of the system.  

The responsibilities for this role are:

  • Perform complex technical activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
  • Liaising and working with ERP integrated workforce and engage with Defence key stakeholders.
  • Apply technical knowledge and experience to identify and manage Risks, Actions, Issues and Dependencies and take these into account in planning, decision making and priority setting.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge and experience during the development and review of technical packages.
  • Scope, plan and assess technical packages and providing recommendations for consideration.
  • Manage technical knowledge of relevant processes, packages, product and equipment.
  • Prepare correspondence on Enterprise Asset Management risks and issues, including but not limited to technical reports, letters, minutes, decision briefs, presentations, information packs, guidance and instructions. This will also include general administration.

About our Team
The Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program is a major transformation for Defence that will eliminate hundreds of standalone, complicated and in some cases duplicated systems, tools and processes. These will be replaced with a new ERP SAP based solution that will provide a single trusted source of accurate, near real-time information. 

The Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) team in the ERP Program is focused on transforming the management approach of Defence assets throughout each asset’s lifecycle using the ERP solution. The team engages with business areas across Defence to ensure business requirements and expectations are clearly understood and considered when reviewing existing and future approaches.

  • A working knowledge of engineering and maintenance processes as they apply to asset management or other technical related fields.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to work in a detailed dynamic environment, and rapidly adapt to evolving schedules and priorities.
  • An understanding of Share Point, Objective and MS Project professional.
  • Excellent communication skills, in verbal and written form.
  • Sound judgment to make good decisions based on information gathered.
  • High level of productivity and self-direction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team with a focus on achieving larger team/project goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and sustaining effective relationships across a wide range and levels of team members and stakeholders.
