SENIOR TRANSPORT PLANNER

The Traffic and Transport team at the City of Boroondara is expanding to respond to the North East Link road project. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join our high performing, motivated and supportive team to work on one of Victoria’s biggest ever transport projects. The position is advertised with the option of full or part time employment on a fixed term basis for 18 months.

Your role with us
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Transport Advocacy, you will work on projects with key stakeholders including neighboring Councils, State Government, public and private agencies.
You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the advocacy on transport projects and issues for the benefit of the Boroondara community.
  • Providing specialist advice, identify issues and make recommendations to Council on the project including the technical merits, timeliness and quality, and the impacts on the Boroondara community.
  • Consulting with the internal and external stakeholders including the community

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to show demonstrated skills in transport planning, traffic engineering and project management. You will be enthusiastic about working in an environment where specialist advice on a broad range of issues associated with the project are fundamental. This newly created diverse and unique role is ideal for an individual who has the desire to learn and develop their skills.
