Operational Specialist (Practices and Capabilities)

$116,738 plus 15% Superannuation

The Opportunity

Join our Asset and Network Performance branch as the Operational Specialist (Practices and Capabilities).

You will lead the safety, quality and customer centric philosophies to support Mat Wass in establishing and developing our internal works self-assessment and quality auditing, to improve safety and asset quality.

We are looking for someone who knows we can never accept that where we are, is where we need to be.

Using your business insight, technical skills and creativity, you will drive key strategic initiatives to lead positive change in safety, culture and quality of work.

In this role, you will be:

  • Providing subject matter expertise, guidance and leadership to support the successful implementation of the Practices and Capabilities function that will effectively improve our operations, resulting in a safe and quality built electrical distribution system
  • Establishing and owning processes for optimization and modernisation of work practices and standards, and delineation for future contestability
  • Building and nurturing strong partnerships internally and externally to inspire correct practices and work methods

Are you equipped with:

  • Certificate 3 in Electrotechnology and a qualification in business, management, leadership or equivalent work experience?
  • Demonstrable experience in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electricity distribution networks
  • Proven experience in assessing quality of work against internal and external policies, procedures and standard
  • Deep understanding of organisational change management and equivalent experience to support change initiatives
