The role

This senior technical position will play a key role in Operational component of Wannon Water by helping us optimise water and wastewater treatment supporting a healthy environment, a thriving economy and strong communities across south-west Victoria.
This role provides an opportunity to make the most of your talents, broaden your experience and take on rewarding challenges.

A degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or Science, or an equivalent tertiary qualification together with extensive experience would be highly regarded.

This opportunity may be well suited to a water industry professional with extensive experience, looking for the highest degree of respect within our organisation. You will be given opportunities to mentor other water and wastewater treatment professionals in a supportive environment.

Your skills

  • Experience and knowledge of the chemical and physical processes in water and wastewater treatment operations
  • High levels of motivation and a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • The ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of WSAA Health Based Targets Manual, The Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and blue-green algae management would be highly regarded.

Salary range of $89,214 – $99,519 p.a plus 9.5% superannuation depending on qualifications and experience
