Ships Division, within Defence's Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, is seeking highly professional, motivated and experienced self-starters to assist the engineering team in providing ongoing support to Commonwealth Government's naval shipbuilding projects.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to be involved in a number of Acquisition Projects, such as, the Future Frigates, Offshore Patrol Vessels, Replenishment Ships, Pacific Patrol Boats and Capability Upgrade projects.

Ships Division is seeking applicants with engineering and technical experience in support of large, complex equipment and materiel systems; with project experience being advantageous. Formal tertiary qualifications are not mandatory however, experience relevant to maritime acquisition projects would be preferable. Experience may include (but is not limited to) naval architecture, marine, mechanical, electrical, electronic, aviation, systems, combat and/or communications engineering.

The successful candidate will be required to travel interstate and overseas.

Employment will be offered on an ongoing (permanent) or non-ongoing (temporary) basis.
