Ships Division, within Defence's Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, is seeking highly professional, motivated and experienced Engineering Managers to lead the naval teams in providing ongoing support to the Commonwealth Government's naval shipbuilding projects.

The successful applicants will have an opportunity to be involved in a number of Acquisition Projects, such as, Future Frigates, Offshore Patrol Vessels, Replenishment Ships, Pacific Patrol Boats and Capability Upgrade projects. Ships Division is seeking applicants with engineering and technical experience in support of large, complex equipment and materiel systems; with project experience being advantageous.

The Engineering Manager must have significant management experience, in addition to experience in any of a wide range of engineering fields relevant to maritime acquisition projects. Experience may include (but is not limited to) naval architecture, electrical, electronic, aviation, systems, combat and/or communications engineering. Maritime experience is highly desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate may be required to travel interstate and overseas.

Employment will be offered on an ongoing (permanent) or non-ongoing (temporary) basis.
