What you’ll do:

  • Manage the monitoring and review of trends in asset reliability data, the development of Asset Class Strategies, technical standards, and maintenance plans.
  • Provides reports as required to ensure asset capability and reliability is maintained to the standard set by the business to meet customer and regulatory requirements.  
  • Manage the provision of specialist asset management expertise and systems to ensure an integrated and contemporary Asset Management System is consistently applied across the WaterNSW asset portfolio, and which ensures the capture of asset data and information from asset works is maintained, is reliable, kept up-to-date and accessible.
  • Consult with and educate internal stakeholders and staff to ensure that asset management requirements and their implications are understood, practiced, factored into their areas of responsibility ensuring clear communication and information flows.  
  • Manage the development and application of systematic policies, procedures and processes for repeatable and sustainable review, evaluation and mitigation of risk across the Asset management portfolio to ensure consistency in decision-making, to capture learning and minimise costs.
  • Provides technical advice, reports and recommendations in a timely and cost-effective manner as required across the Asset Management portfolio with particular emphasis on risk management. 

What we are looking for:  

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia.  
  • Extensive experience in infrastructure works planning.
  • Experience in risk evaluation and assessment to meet business objectives relating to Infrastructure assets.
  • Experience in liaising, consulting, negotiating and resolving conflicts and managing stakeholder and client relationships.
  • Experience in financial management and in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and project management costings.
  • Experience in Dam safety surveillance and emergency management planning.
  • Working knowledge of international asset management and risk standards, IS055000( Asset management)  and IS031000(Risk Management).
  • Extensive knowledge in water infrastructure management and dam safety management and compliance.  
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
