Icon Water is responsible for owning and operating Canberra’s network of water and wastewater infrastructure and assets including dams, reservoirs, water and sewerage treatment plants, water and sewerage pumping stations to ensure the delivery of safe drinking water and reliable sewerage services. The Opportunity

Our Digital Technology team is looking for an experienced Platform Reliability Engineer to setting up, managing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery in the AWS infrastructure.

A day in the life:
•Assisting and managing the monitoring of the AWS environments and business solutions
•Maintaining a reliable IT environment and business solutions
•Creating and maintaining issues, tracking using Jira and HP ALM and ServiceNow
•Change control across all AWS cloud infrastructure and Icon Water environments
•Plan, and undertake workshops and meetings to promote best practices in continuous delivery, continuous deployment and issue management.
•Undertake risk management across AWS and business solutions
•Promoting best-practices for designing and implementing reliable solutions in the AWS environment

We'll need you to have:
•Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
•Experience in site reliability engineering and DevOp principles.
•Experience in centralised log management and monitoring.

Not essential, but a bonus if you have:
•Demonstrable agile experience especially as a CI/CD practitioner using Jenkins in AWS
•Experience in developing software code.
•Experience in implementing and managing test automation including regression test harnesses.
