Program Controls Coordinator

  • Remuneration: $91,647 plus 15% superannuation
  • Ongoing, full-time role

Icon Water's Program Controls Team is looking for a new team member to take on the role of Program Controls Coordinator. This role is responsible for coordinating and participating in project stage gate document reviews, program/portfolio health checks and analysing project schedules relating to a project of work.

The Program Controls team is part of Project Delivery which sits within the Infrastructure Service group. The team is responsible for supporting the governance, assurance, monitoring and reporting of the construction and ICT delivery program of works. The team provides a service to the business so strong business relationships are paramount to the team culture and success. A sense of personal accountability, autonomy, and a strong team spirit is essential.

Your key responsibilities would be

  • Coordinate and participate in document reviews, project stage gate and health check reviews with appropriate team members.
  • Administrator for the Project Management Information System (PMIS) including project creation, manage user permissions, develop, and maintain project schedules within Project Server.
  • Assist project managers to develop fully resourced project estimates and schedules, as well as the ability to produce timely and accurate reports.
  • Manage the quality of financial forecast data through effectively liaising with Project Managers and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support the development and monitoring of End of Month project, program, and portfolio reports.
  • Review and maintain currency of Project Delivery Templates.
  • Maintain Program Controls SharePoint site and build project SharePoint sites are required.
  • Assist with identification and implementation of PCT business improvement initiatives
  • Other duties within the employee’s skill, competence, and training

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent (e.g., business management, construction, or ICT program delivery).
  • Project Planning and Scheduling experience.
  • Experience as Administrator in Microsoft Enterprise Project/Portfolio Management tools.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite including Project Professional, SharePoint and Power BI is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying PMBOK and/or other industry recognised project management methodologies.
  • Experience in report writing and excellent proofreading skills.
  • Experience in database analysis and querying (SQL, Oracle).
