This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will provide leadership to the Infrastructure Services Department to ensure the delivery of effective services to the Noosa community and to the organisation in the context of Council’s strategies, goals, policies and priorities.  This role is also a key senior leadership position as part of a high performing Executive Team.

The Director will deliver across a range of Council services including infrastructure planning, design and delivery, Council buildings and facilities, asset management, and civil operations.  In addition to leading these service delivery areas this position holds a critical role as the Local Disaster Coordinator ensuring Council’s disaster management planning, coordination and response is effective.

Applicants require degree level tertiary qualifications in civil engineering and having registration as a professional engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or the ability to obtain that registration is highly desirable.  In addition to extensive experience and a record of achieving results at an executive or senior management level in a Local Government or similar corporate business organisation the successful applicant will need to align strongly to the Noosa Council values. 

A four-year fixed term contract with a total remuneration package of $225,000 per annum will be offered.
