The Metro Tunnel Project The Metro Tunnel Project (MTP) is a game-changer for our city and our customers. The project will deliver more frequent services for customers, reducing network congestion and overcrowding. About the role: 

As Senior Network Project Engineer, you will report to the OCS N&S Delivery Manager and Technical Lead within the MTP Rail Systems Alliance. 

You will form part of a dynamic technical team responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of existing MTM’s Operational Control Systems and Network Infrastructure, as well as, conduct systems engineering activities on related interfacing systems and networks including diagnostics and trouble-shooting. You will be responsible for liaising with operational and technical staff regarding setting up appropriate hardware, software and operating system environments, (including virtualisation), carry out integration tasks, perform data configuration, as well as complex problem resolution. 

About your experience: 

You will demonstrate sound Engineering/IT experience in software setup and configuration, database administration and virtualisation. Demonstrated experience in network engineering and security will also be required, together with network monitoring systems and scripting. Experience working in a Linux environment will be essential. Tertiary education in either engineering or IT disciplines is required.
