Auckland DHB (ADHB) and Waitemata DHB (WDHB) have been working collaboratively to achieve a concentration of Facilities & Development (F&D) expertise and the enhancement of F&D capacity and capability across both DHBs through the implementation of a joint F&D team structure. The result is an exciting new service model that has created a number of new “great career step” positions with considerable “scale and scope”.

The role of Compliance Coordinator is a key one within the overall team. Developing, implementing and maintaining compliance programmes that cover all relevant legislative requirements around building fitness, HASNO, fire, environmental and other related areas is at the heart of the role. Being able to project manage, build stakeholder relationships and have a collaborative style will be an essential part of your DNA – not to mention attention to detail and precise records management processes!

The successful candidate will possess:
  • Substantial and successful experience/expertise in technical aspects of plant/building maintenance (hospital services related will be a significant advantage)
  • Sound computer literacy across Microsoft suite
  • Relevant professional qualification – building/engineering related
  • Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed customer service ethos
  • A great “team player” approach
