Are you an early to mid-career scientist interested in joining the CSIRO Mineral Resources’ Magnetic Resonance Development team? We have an exciting opportunity at the Lucas Heights laboratory located in Southern Sydney.
The CSIRO Sensing and Sorting research program develops world-leading technology that is deployed in the Australian and global mining industry. Our Magnetic Resonance Research team is actively developing advanced sensing prototypes for commercialisation in areas of high industry need. This position is aimed at accelerating our research agenda through delivery of advanced, market ready measurement systems.
As the Prototype Development Magnetic Resonance Scientist, and with guidance, you will use your knowledge of physics to lead the development of novel magnetic resonance (MR)-based or potentially other electromagnetic (EM) based on-line instruments to solve a range of challenging, real-world problems in the mining industry.
Reporting to the team leader, you will take independent responsibility for some key aspects of the research and will possess a drive to see implementation through to product in a CSIRO commercialisation initiative.
Location: Lucas Heights, Southern Sydney, NSW
Salary: AU$105K – AU$114K pa + up to 15.4% superannuation
