CSIRO Postdoctoral Fellowship in Organic Solar Cells
CSIRO acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land, sea and waters, of the area that we live and work on across Australia. We acknowledge their continuing connection to their culture and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. View our vision towards reconciliation
CSIRO Early Research Career (CERC) Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to scientists and engineers who have completed their doctorate and have less than three years of relevant postdoctoral work experience. These fellowships aim to develop the next generation of future leaders of the innovation system.
CSIRO Manufacturing has dedicated research teams focusing on printed organic solar cells. Our Printable Photovoltaics Team has an opportunity for a self-motivated and innovative postdoctoral fellow from a physical chemistry, chemistry, physics, engineering or materials science background to join an exciting, interdisciplinary team in the priority area of organic solar cells.
The CERC Fellow will work closely with two co-supervisors, Dr Doojin Vak at CSIRO and Prof Chang-Qi Ma at Institute of Nanotechnology and Applications (INA), one of JITRI institutes, to carry out innovative, impactful research of strategic importance to CSIRO and JITRI with the possibility of novel and important scientific outcomes. The Fellow will explore roll-to-roll printing techniques to fabricate organic solar cells and will learn artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted data analysis. AI models will be developed and used to discover printable formulations and optimised fabrication parameters.
