The role of Research Projects staff in CSIRO is to collaborate in scientific and technological activities with other research staff usually by assisting with detailed planning, undertaking or assisting with experimental, observational or technology development work, and in carrying out the more practical aspects of the work.
The Groundwater hydrologist will join the ‘Risks to groundwater resources’ team in the Land and Water Business Unit. This team provides integrated assessments of risks to groundwater quantity and quality to support sustainable development and resilient management of groundwater resources and dependent environments.
Other opportunities to engage with researchers and contribute to groundwater characterisation and management projects include, but are not limited to, regional-scale water resource assessments in Northern Australia and the Murray-Darling Basin.
Location: Adelaide SA, Brisbane QLD or Perth WA preferred
Salary: AU$66,163 - AU$84,207 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) + up to 15.4% superannuation
