Senior Software Engineer

Under the direction of the Principal Software Engineer contribute to the design, delivery, testing and maintenance of the IC Global platform suite (https://innovationcatalyst.global/).

Your duties will include
  • Develop and maintain robust and scalable software in response to business needs
  • Design, build and deploy beautiful, efficient and maintainable user interfaces
  • Ensure that code deployment follows best practices
  • Ensure that systems are designed and managed using an “infrastructure as code” approach
  • Proactively identify and resolve production issues

Location: Black Mountain, ACT
Salary: AU$113,338 - AU$132,811 plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: 12 months specified term

To be successful you will need
  • At least 5 years of commercial software development experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated NodeJS and ReactJS experience or a commitment to develop technical skills in this space.
  • Experience building RESTful apis, Swagger experience well regarded.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Docker experience and some understanding of an infrastructure as code approach to system design and maintenance.
  • Highly developed technical skills in Javascript/typescript.
  • Demonstrated Scala skills, or strong JVM experience and at least one functional language.
  • Experience in handling high severity incidents in a 24*7 production support environment.
  • Ability to overcome technical road-blocks, solve problems and make sound well considered decisions.
