A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be a part of our Capital Works team!

In this position you will provide high level support in the development, administration and performance oversight of Council’s capital works program as well as undertaking specific project related duties.

You will play a lead support role in administering the capital works program including regular performance monitoring and reporting to the Executive Management Team, complete project work as required, gain an understanding of the operation of Council’s asset management system and be able to browse and extract appropriate data as well as undertaking continuous improvement activities.

The successful applicant will have relevant tertiary qualifications or significant relevant experience, ability to work independently and as part of a team; demonstrated experience in a financial monitoring role, extensive experience and proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word, working knowledge and understanding of capital budget development processes.

An attractive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This role may also be suited to a recent graduate looking to establish a career within the local government sector.
