The City of Whitehorse is seeking an innovative planning professional with the ability to drive change. With a dedicated focus on continuous improvement, the role of Assistant Manager Statutory Planning is responsible for managing the operations of the Statutory Planning team across a wide range of customer, process and outcome-focused services.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong track record of problem-solving and strategic thinking, either within the local government or private sector. Political nous and confidence are essential as this senior position has a high degree of autonomy and involves providing advice and support on significant statutory planning issues to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Manager Planning and Building, this role leads a large team of team of professional staff so experience in leading a team is also essential.
