About the role:

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, this role encompasses three main components: Strategic Focus, Cloud Services Delivery and Cloud Services Operations. You will be responsible for implementing, and maintaining scalable, highly available cloud and on-premises environments, harnessing the capabilities of Azure, AWS services and VMWare / On premise systems. This role will require some on-call and intra / interstate travel (with advanced notice).  

In this role, you’ll be:

• assisting in ticket management and review of issues/request for cloud and on-premise systems including prioritising and escalating issues to appropriate teams and management.
• ensuring delivery of projects to establish new Cloud Services and migration of workloads onto new Cloud Platforms – AWS, Azure and O365 in a secure and manageable method
• developing, implementing, and delivering cloud architectural standards for the Hybrid cloud environment in accordance with the agreed business policies and procedures
• Ensure Cloud Service Operations are delivered in a self-managed, automated manner as far as possible
• assisting in investigate the root cause of Cloud Service and Hybrid systems incidents and instigate actions to correct the situation via formal post incident review enabling future architectural decisions to consider ongoing operational excellence.

Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:

• experience working in cloud environment demonstratable experience in Azure, Scripting/Automation, Containerization
• deep understanding and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including its core services such as Azure Resource Manager, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure DevOps Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• support of EMC Storage Array Support and Backup Systems such as NetBackup, VEEAM & Azure Backup
• strong relationship building skills, business acumen, a strong customer focus, analytical intelligence, and innovative thinking
• prior experience in dealing with 3rd party vendors / solution partners.
