About the role:

The Traffic and Transport Engineer will assist development of best practice transport strategies, policies and plans and provide technical support in the areas of transport planning, modelling and analysis in the context of the Sunshine Coast. The position requires that all transport and traffic endeavours are multi-modal in approach and that the most sustainable transport outcomes are achieved. The role requires a team focus at an organisational level.

About you:

Naturally, you’ll have a thorough understanding of the requirements of users of all modes of transport, knowledge of contemporary transport planning initiatives and provide forward thinking strategic solutions which actively contribute to achieving the outcome of the Sunshine Coast Council’s Sustainable Transport Strategy.

Additionally you will possess a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil), and demonstrate relevant experience and understanding in urban and regional planning, multi-modal transport planning, infrastructure network planning and policy development.
