The City of Stonnington is seeking an Experienced Traffic Engineer to join our dedicated, professional and highly motivated Traffic & Parking Management Unit. This job share arrangement will cover 5 days per fortnight (e.g. 3 days one week / 2 days the next week) and is temporary until October 2018.
As an Experienced Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking research and analysis in regards to Priority Parking Schemes, on-street and off-street parking, commercial car parks, Arterial & Local Road traffic management as well as provide recommendations to Council’s Transport Network and Parking Supply and policy input. Additionally you will be integral to ensuring Council fulfils its statutory responsibilities for road safety issues.
To be successful in this position, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or substantial experience in Transport Engineering, strong research and analysis skills, excellent interpersonal and time management skills as well as the ability to prepare estimates and to monitor the progress of projects assigned.
