The Position
Reporting to the Director Infrastructure and Environment, this challenging role is responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the City’s road infrastructure projects. With demonstrated leadership capabilities, this position will drive the delivery of agreed outcomes and enhance the overall performance of the team through continuous improvement, mentoring and building a culture based on the City of Canning’s values.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled and motivated professional with a tertiary qualification in Civil Design or Engineering, Surveying or related discipline. With demonstrated project management experience  across complex road projects with multiple stakeholders, you will bring to the table a unified approach to successfully manage diverse project teams.

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria;

  • Extensive technical and practical experience in road and drainage construction and maintenance;
  • High level of interpersonal skills to communicate with staff and stakeholders at all levels, resolve conflict, build relationships and clearly communicate objectives and requirements;
  • Well developed leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of HSE requirements; and
  • Highly developed project managements kills demonstrated in planning, cost management, problem solving and risk management for the timely delivery of quality results against agreed project outcomes. 

Salary: $137,813 - $154,350 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) plus superannuation and company supplied and fully maintained vehicle.
