Our highly experienced Project team is dedicated to the delivery of Construction Projects within Council.  

Moreland City Council’s Building Project Unit has recently completed the $27 million Oak Park Sports & Aquatic Precinct with projects of similar scale underway and a portfolio of $200 million value of future projects.

We are seeking an engaging and pragmatic Assistant Project Manager. You will be working alongside the Project Managers in delivering on a variety of constructions projects within multiple sectors. This role offers you the opportunity to grow and develop your Project Management skills working on projects from master planning to defect liability period within a reputable organisation and team.

Moreland City Council is located in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne and is one of the most populous and culturally diverse municipalities. Located in Coburg, Moreland City Council is just 8km from the CBD and offers excellent public transport and cycling access for employees.

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Demonstrated experience in the construction industry will be highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualified in Building & Construction, Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in the construction industry
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong and effective negotiation skills
