Moreland City Council is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to work with a dynamic team to deliver infrastructure projects for the benefit of the Moreland Community.

This position involves the investigation and delivery of Capital Works projects including road reconstruction, drainage and traffic management works. You will be responsible for the planning, design and management of projects including the coordination of external consultants. The role will also encompass the assessment and approval of drainage plans for Onsite Storm Water Detention and Water Sensitive Urban Design elements relating to multi-unit developments and subdivisions.

You will be required to carry out maintenance and improvement works in Council’s Plantation and Traffic Treatment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure that our streetscapes are kept in a well-maintained condition.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong communication and administrative skills
• Proven ability to problem solve
• A valid Victorian drivers licence is essential
