Technical Coordinator

About the role

We are excited to offer an opportunity to further shape the green building industry in Australia.  This role will see you being responsible for coordinating, reviewing and developing technical materials relevant to GBCA rating tools and related activities, including Green Star. You will also be supporting external project teams in achieving Green Star certification and interacting with the assessment panel.

As this is a key role in the Market Transformation team you will gain valuable exposure in the sustainable development field.

This is a full-time role with the option of flexible working arrangements, based in our 5 Star Green Star rated Sydney office located opposite Hyde Park.

Responsibilities

  • Guide projects through the Green Star certification process
  • Assist in the review, development and upkeep of Green Star tool scorecards, calculators, technical contents for credits, submission templates and related material
  • Contribute to complying with ISO 9001 requirements by assisting in development, maintained and improving products and services
  • Assist in the preparation, development and upkeep of education and training material for Certified Assessors
  • Contribute to expanding the team knowldege by educating the Market Transformation team in areas of subject matter expertise
  • Assist in the preparation, development and upkeep of internal projects

Required skills and experience

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Tertiary degree with 1-2 years' experience in either:

-            Engineering in a built environment-related discipline

-            Building services design and/or construction

-            Urban planning - design and/or construction

-            Sustainability or environmental science

  • Green Star Accredited Professional (desired but not essential)
  • Experience with environmental rating systems and ESD concepts in the built environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Adapatability in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel anf PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and understanding of Green Star desired
