About the opportunity
We are seeking a Research Associate who will be responsible for coordinating and analysing field testing and laboratory experiments as part of the research project on “Smart linings for Pipe and Infrastructure”, which is funded by the Cooperative Research Centre Projects (CRCP).
The incumbent will provide technical knowledge and expertise to the Chief Investigator, Senior Research Academics and the research team to support the research and trial requirements for the work area. This includes actively contributing to research activities, designing research protocols, undertaking core aspects of research work and contributing to analysis and key findings. S/he will collate and record research data, draw insights and analyses, and report information from the research undertaken. When working in a laboratory, this may also include responsibility for any lab work carried out by students, provides teaching support (in terms of demonstrations in tutorials/practicals) and preparing equipment for experiments that are carried out.
