About the role

Powerlink Queensland is experiencing a period of significant growth, innovation and change, and to support this exciting future we have a brand new opportunity available for a Voice / Digital Network Engineer.

In this role, you will be the subject matter expert in Voice Networks, leading the research, development and delivery of configuration management, performance management and fault/emergency processes necessary to support the operation of our Voice, LAN, WAN, VoIP and MPLS networks.

Supporting the delivery of capital projects and continuous improvement activities, as well as operational projects and tasks, you will play a key role in optimising the availability of the networks to ensure that Powerlink and our 5 million Queensland customers are supported 24/7.

About you

Joining us with tertiary qualifications in Telecommunications, Computer Systems, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or another relevant field, as well as a Cisco CCNP Collaboration certification, you will apply your knowledge and skills in architecting, managing and deploying a high-availability VoIP system.

You will replicate your previous success in implementing and managing Voice Networks, and apply your knowledge in CCX and CCUM, as well as Digital Network Management tools such as Operational Support Systems (OSS).

You foster relationships through building trust, showing empathy and understanding your impact as you communicate with and influence others. You challenge the status quo and actively look for new ways to solve problems and create value for customers and stakeholders, understanding trade-offs and risks from a commercial perspective.
