How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next? 

As a Senior Structural Engineer, Water, you will join our Sydney, Newcastle or Canberra built environment team.? This role offers you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and passion as you work in a diverse and award-winning team on the design of some of Sydney’s most interesting water projects. Aurecon has numerous long-term partnerships in the Water Industry both in NSW and Australia wide as well as a pipeline of significant design and construct projects

  • Apply your significant experience in structural engineering to solving the problems of our clients using an innovative and design-led approach 
  • Lead successful multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large-scale projects on time and to budget 
  • Proven experience working on water projects for a variety of clients 
  • Share your experience of working within Australian engineering codes, standards and practices with your diverse team. Experience with Sydney Water standards will be advantageous  
  • Use your ability to initiate, and build relationships with both your peers and clients to push forward the boundaries of what is possible 
  • Enjoy collaborating with colleagues nationally and internationally, as we utilise our people across ANZ and beyond to solve our clients’ problems

What are we looking for from you? 

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imaging engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant technical qualification and chartered status would be preferable.? 

  • Experience in preparation of design documentation at various stages of the design lifecycle, including concept design, detailed design and construction documentation as well as experience in condition assessment of civil structures.  
  • Ability to lead packages of work for structural designs on water and waste water projects  
  • Highly experienced in design of concrete structures for retaining liquids. 
  • Experience in desalination projects would be highly regarded.  
  • Experience in Design and Construct projects would be advantageous.
