About Us

The Inland Rail Program is a 1710km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of: viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges.  More information relating to the project can be found here: http://inlandrail.artc.com.au.
  
The Opportunity
As the Senior Sustainability Advisor; you will be responsible for providing strategic sustainability direction, ISCA technical guidance, for the design, and construction to the project teams based in Melbourne.

This is a great opportunity for you to contribute to the translation of the program wide sustainability strategy and lead the project teams through the ISCA design and as-built rating processes. 

Responsibilities will also include, but not be limited to:
  • Managing the sustainability scope of work being delivered by the service provider or contractor
  • Working with the project teams to embed sustainability initiatives into design and construction
  • Drafting of service briefs, tender documents and tender assessment reports
  • Reviewing and providing input into all key project documentation to ensure sustainability is not just an add-on
  • Reviewing and providing input to all project documentation for submission to ISCA ensuring compliance as required
  • Educating relevant project personnel on the ISCA rating process
  • Reviewing commentary and providing recommendation to the IR Sustainability manager regarding the suitability of service providers deliverables for use in submissions to ISCA
  • Assessment of existing documentation to ensure the contracted ISCA rating is achieved
  • Highlighting gaps during the design process, documenting and proposing strategies and activities to address
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:   
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field (engineering or environmental sciences) and be a qualified Infrastructure Sustainability Accreditation Professional (ISAP)
  • Strong ability to multi-task and work on simultaneous delivery requirements across various projects
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience using the Infrastructure Sustainability Rating Scheme
  • Experience managing the successful delivery of sustainability projects
  • Ability to guide and influence both internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
  • Being able to work autonomously and take initiative
