We have a 24 month fixed term opportunity for a Fleet Manager within the Fleet and Logistics group based in Cairns or Townsville.

This position is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership and for the development of Fleet strategies and policy to meet business and stakeholder requirements.The Fleet Manager actively engages with customers and stakeholders to define fleet requirements to ensure provision of a cost effective, fit for purpose fleet solutions to support delivery of the works program.

Key to your success will be ability to lead a team that is focussed on safety, innovation, building stakeholder relationships and value for money, “customer driven” outcomes.

To be successful in this role youll have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Strong leadership and management of a team across multiple sites with the ability to deliver quantifiable outcomes that deliver sustainable change and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary fleet management strategies and practices to maximise the efficiency of the fleet network with a proven ability in meeting business requirements through the effective management and introduction of customer service and best practice processes.
  • Extensive experience in the specification, administration and negotiation of contracts.
  • Strong focus on results orientation with the ability to analyse quality and information system performance, identify trends and issues, make commercial decisions and managing operations towards the continued achievement of higher standards of success in fleet management.
  • Dynamic customer orientation and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, negotiate and influence decisions, develop and maintain sustainable customer relationships and enable a standard of service that exceeds customer expectations.
