About our role:

Based in Victoria we are looking for a Environmental Manager to join our team! Reporting to the National Environmental Manager, you will provide technical support to the manufacturing sites nationally. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading technical support for Waste Water Treatment Plants as well as technical environmental training materials
  • Lead and execute various corporate sustainability initiatives across the national operations
  • Manage key environmental, energy and sustainability data collection in preparation for annual regulatory and corporate reporting requirements
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual environmental related Capex strategy, work with sites to identify and assist with environmental related projects
  • Drive a risk based approach to environmental compliance, completing regular site risk assessments and maintaining the group risk register
  • Supporting sites in the identification and escalation of environmental risk site environmental licence annual reporting to state and territory

About you:

  • Tertiary qualified in environmental, engineering, science or other relevant discipline
  • Proven experience with best practice environmental management systems and approaches
  • Functional knowledge of Australian environmental law and local regulations, National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme (NGERS) and National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) regulatory obligations
  • Experience in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of EMS (ISO 14001)
