The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Coordinating the development and implementation of a Road Safety Strategy & Action Plan and other programs, recognising the needs and aspirations of the Manly community. 
  • Improving levels of road safety through the development and delivery of community education campaigns through liaison with government agencies and all community stakeholders.
  • Project management of a variety of tasks on traffic management, road safety, pedestrians, bicycles and public transport programs.

The key skills for this role include:

  • Proven ability to design, promote, implement, evaluate and monitor community programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in consultation processes, particularly with community groups.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills to resolve problems and provide specialised advice.
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, education, marketing, behavioural sciences or related field or extensive related experience.
  • Highly developed communication and report writing skills including experience in research & statistical analysis.

Excellent conditions include a salary range between $64,532 to $70,986 per annum, requisite with skills and experience, plus superannuation. Benefits include a 35 hour week, access to a flex system being a nine day fortnight and long service leave after five years.
