Consult Australia has held its annual Awards for Excellence  to recognise exceptional consulting projects delivered by Consult Australia member firms.

 

The Project of the Year was awarded to the Aurecon Hatch for the Abbot Point Coal Terminal X50 Expansion. The project highlighted the ability of the firm to deliver major infrastructure that will improve the value and efficiency of coal delivery and shipping nation-wide.


Other winning projects included:

  • AAMI Park, Victoria;
  • the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge (Houghton Highway duplication);
  • Adelaide Oval Western Grandstand redevelopment, Springvale road rail segregation;
  • Cochlear global headquarters; and
  • the Australia Pacific LNG project environmental impact statement.


Recognised as one of the biggest events in the engineering industry, the Awards attracted over 450 senior representatives from firms including AECOM; Arup; Aurecon; Coffey International; GHD; Golder Associates; Hyder Consulting; Kellogg Brown & Root; Norman Disney & Young; Sinclair Knight Merz; SMEC; URS Australia; Worley Parsons; and other professional services firms.
