The Opportunity

ActewAGL has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual with a strong IT background and analytical skills to take on the role of a Systems Engineer.

As a member of the Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG) of Business Systems Division, you will have the opportunity to play a major role in providing the services and support required to maintain the integrity, availability, security and privacy of business systems and information.

Some Key Specifics of the role

Working with the ESG Manager, you will:

  • Design, implement; and manage internal and external IT infrastructure for ActewAGL supported environments
  • Lead Problem, Incident and Change Management of allocated systems
  • Play an active role in the system lifecycle (design, build, administer and decommission) for allocated systems
  • Be a Primary Subject Matter expert for nominated systems
  • Participate in the support structure, standards, monitoring, documentation, security and delegation for allocated systems in line with corporate policy and industry best practice

To apply for this role, you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in the full lifecycle of Server, Virtualisation and/or Application Systems
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in engineering and administering current Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy), and PowerShell
  • Proven experience in administering current VMware technologies, including ESXi, vCenter and SRM
  • Experience in engineering and managing Microsoft Azure and/or O365 solutions
  • Relevant industry certification/qualifications
  • Demonstrable skills in structured incident, change and problem management
